Meet Moana and Wayne

Moana and Wayne know how to make something wonderful from a blank canvas, or as is often the case, a tired dining chair or footstool or windows that need to pop with fresh fabric and design. 

This husband and wife team take pride in every aspect of their work – from gathering ideas, measuring, sourcing and providing the fabric and linings, to manufacturing and if it’s a window treatment, the final installation of quality tracks to show off your new curtains or blinds.  

Sewing is Moana’s passion – she’s loved it all her life and since starting Made to Measure nine years ago, has gone from being fussy about her work to being super-fussy.  The devil really is in the detail. As a problem-solver, she’s creative and quirky and likes to think outside of the box to find practical solutions, whether it’s a tricky window design, a fabric source or bringing new life to a much-loved heirloom.  As an excellent listener, Moana picks up cues that will eventually reflect an individual’s style.  When Moana’s not in her workroom, you’ll probably find her sewing or hunting for treasures to repurpose – it’s her passion.

Wayne being an owner operator helps in the workroom and carries out all the installations with a keen eye for detail as well as a determination and passion for getting things right. He’s solution-focused and determined to make every job as smooth as possible, with the best outcome for their clients. It's high standard and custom-crafted work.  When Wayne’s away from Made to Measure you’ll most likely find him in the garden or playing football – it’s his passion.
